What ethics are you talking about? His ability to play a game of give and take, one that he didnt created, to bring fed bucks to our state? the fact that after 17 terms he is still one of the poorest members in congress? Don has defied his own party when it comes to protecting the rights of Alaska. You have to ask yourself what has he gained? Money to get reelected, big deal, his heart beats Alaska. Sure he’s spent money on lawyers, if you felt wronged and had to defend yourself, because it would effect the people in your charge, it would be your duty to defend yourself. His style may not be reporter friendly and he has ticked off just as many GOP’s as Dems, he does bring it home for Alaska. Vote for him or not, He will be just as happy in FT Yukon as he would be in DC. Don is one of the most ethical persons I have ever met. You could make a mini series on all the good he has done for Alaska. “Where there’s smoke there’s fire” ( legal fees ) kinda lame since the w. bUsh admin has proved that when there’s smoke there’s smoke. It’s intresting to note that the population base of Alaska allways sides with big outside buisness ventures, could it be all the big bucks in advertisement, look at the pebble mine issue, reminds me of when big oil came out aganst seperate accounting, flood the airways with your agenda, well when your constituants are convinced, guess what, a congressman has to to his job. It’s to bad when big bizz convince the people that they are better served sending all their natrual resources out of state instead of trying to build a infastructure at home to develop industry ( so called Bridges to Nowhere) Alaska could be bigger than China with exports if people shared what was dwelling in the heart of Don Young, Is it Alaska Inc. ? Big Bizz do’nt break laws they change them

So Kerrigan the progressive voice (of the IBEW) had Lydia GREEN on yesterday critisizing Sarah Palin’s attempts to fire her ex bro i law a trooper who had tazered an 11 year old , took an illegal moose, threatened to kill her dad and was snow mobiling while on workers comp as a Trooper. He hung up on me when I suggested that he had fired someone for nothing.
The IBEW should be ashamed of their lack of vision. Are they opposed to a gas line? When was the last raise the techs at ACS got?

Is the IBEW part of the OIL ESTABLISHMENT or do they represent labor?

For the last few days while listening to KUDO I began to wonder what had happened to Shannyn’s time slot. After calling on CC’s time and finding out she was no longer with KUDO. Now to find out she is on another station I’ll change my listening habits. KFQD with the infamous Fagan who thinks he is God like and issues mean and nasty comments to people who disagree with his rant, it was so refreashing to listen to Shannyn’s vibrant and knowledgable discussions with national guest as previously mentioned. Her willingness to explore divergent viewpoints is the one thing that qualifies her intellect. Hearing the truth about national events, being able to sort the chaff from the BS is what this country needs, and Shannyn did her best to at least provide provocative interviews. Shame on KUDO for making this decision to take her off the air. This state needs her brush strokes and changing from red to blue.

I’m not surprised a bigger station scarfed Shannyn and her sassy vitality right up. Maybe this is a sign that more radio stations are tired of serving up the same old right-wing crapola. How many miles can one drive that huge SUV, that empty-bedded monster pickup, that polished V-8 roadster, paying $5.00 per gallon to fill it, and still believe, like Rick, Dan and others keep telling you, that it’s all Jimmy Carter’s and Bill Clinton’s fault, when deep in your heart of hearts, you know it is total bullshit. You know that the people and ideas presented by Rick, Dan and others are ruining our country….

Let’s hope the people at KWHL know what they’ve got, and let Shannyn keep on interviewing national level figures, like John Dean, Jeff Cohen, Brad Friedman, Tom Hartman, Bev Harris and others. Her interviews with these folks on KUDO were some of the best radio Alaskans have gotten. Ever.

Make Note-

Patricia Collins is up for retention election this year. Her rulings are arbitrary, and she is not one to follow the rule of law as absolute, and she has favotites who have commit eggregious acts who she refuses to punish, or will unfairly shift the burden on the opposition. Collins plays favorites. This is just one example.

Alaska need better people on the Alaska Judicial Council, and Collins is on it, so vote against retention accordingly.

People in Juneau should make sure of the importance of this one and commit to take the time to vote against retaining Collins.

Vic wanted us to believe that he was a good guy and that he did not deserve to be sent so far away from his family. I can recall an incident where he was late for a doctor appointment and got really pissed. He told the receptionist that he was going to come over the counter and show him what was what. Real nice. Also, getting sent to the lower 48 to serve out a sentence is a common thing for people who are convicted of breaking the law in Alaska. Anyone recall a time when he made comments about having convicted felons sent to the lower 48 was too far for them to be away from their family. NO. Break the law, go to jail, just like everyone else. I wonder if now he will be more sympathetic to what a convicted felon has to endure as punishment.
