Shannyn Moore lands at 106.5 KWHL

Shannyn Moore

Kudo

The smartest radio babe in Anchorage, Shannyn Moore, was on the air this morning at 106.5 KWHL. Shannyn was “fired” by the clowns over at KUDO last week and is now on one the most listened to shows in the state. Way to go Shanny! Way not to go KUDO. Another major screw-up. You’d think Randy Ruedrich was running KUDO with all of the poor decisions being made over there.

UPDATED: My mistake, Shannyn was a guest today and she’ll be back on tomorrow. She just told me she’s not employed there. Sorry.

Eddie Burke - He's the guy with the big head. Ok, the guy with no hair and a big head.

“Did you suck?”

Sent to me from a trusted reader of AlaskaReport:

Dan Fagan went on a big rant after Aaron Selbig of KUDO got fired, saying “to get fired from media you have to suck” then went on to say that Aaron Selbig sucks.

Radio host Eddie Burke from 700 KBYR, saw Dan Fagan walking into the courthouse after the Victor Kohring sentencing last Thursday. Eddie goes up and puts a microphone in his face and starts asking him questions:
1) “Is it true that to get fired from media you must suck?”
2) “Did you fired from KTUU?” (he wouldn’t answer it truthfully but yes he did)
3) “Is it true that you trashed a hotel in Juneau?” (truthfully I was told it was an apartment, but he wouldn’t answer that question truthfully either).

In the middle of this “impromptu” interview, Fagan (growing redder and more agitated) asks security in the courthouse if they can come over and “help” take care of Eddie who was trying to interview him. The guards just laughed and said, “No.”

Listen to the audio, it’s hilarious.

KUDO - Questions remain

I wrote to new KUDO program director Cary Carrigan this morning to find out the reason, in his words, why Aaron Selbig was fired. Carrigan avoided the question but he wrote back:

It seems to be a misconception that I am taking Aaron’s job. I am not. I am managing 5 stations here. I am going on the air to help defer the salaries while keeping local programming at current levels.

Good luck over there. Aaron made $3000 a month, the DJ’s make $25 an hour for their 2 - 3 hour shows. How can you cut lower than that?
