FBI Raids Republican Daughters' House

The FBI raided Republican Curt Weldon's daughter and a friend as an investigation heats up about lobbying irregularites and consulting contracts.

FBI agents searched four locations in the Philadelphia area and two in Jacksonville, Florida, said Debbie Weierman according to an Associated Press report.

"What I find ironic, if there is an investigation, is that no one would tell me until three weeks before the election," Curt Weldon said it is politically motivated at an appearance in Media, Pennsylvania. "This incident was 2 1/2 years ago."

The Associated Press is also reporting that federal investigators are looking into whether Weldon used his influence to help the company secure lobbying contracts worth $1 million from foreign clients..
