Nassau, Bahamas - Police in the Bahamas have questioned Anna Nicole Smith's laywer/partner Howard K. Stern regarding the September death of Smith's son Daniel.

Police in the Bahamas have questioned Anna Nicole Smith's laywer/partner Howard K. Stern regarding the September death of Smith's son Daniel.

The death of former centerfold Anna Nicole Smith has made Bahamian authorities more interested in questioning her attorney and partner in connection with the September death of Smith's son Daniel, the country's chief magistrate said Monday.

Daniel Smith, 20, died in his mother's hospital room Sept. 10 after ingesting methadone and several other drugs.

We've learned at least one witness will testify at the coroner's inquest into Daniel's death that Stern supplied Daniel with methadone and then flushed the remaining stash down a toilet after Daniel died.

Meanwhile, the Bahamian government minister who granted Smith legal residency there defended his ties with the late model after a newspaper ran photographs of him cavorting with her on a bed. In a televised statement, Immigration Minister Shane Gibson said the photographs were "innocent" and that his friendship with Smith had no bearing on his official actions.
